We want to learn how speakers convey emotional information in language. We will present you with a part of a movie review someone wrote. Your job is to rate its sentiment as either positive or negative.

Choose positive if you think the phrase reflects a positive emotion or opinion. Example:

“the acting , costumes , music , cinematography and sound are all astounding given the production ‘s austere locales .”
Choose negative if you think the phrase reflects a negative emotion or opinion. Example:
